Every year, Code.org hosts the “Hour of Code” campaign, a global event that promotes digital literacy and programming education. This year, The Trust for the Americas is joining forces with Code.org in an exciting initiative to take education in artificial intelligence to a new level. Through our network of partners in the POETA Social Franchise, we will be implementing this program in collaboration with our local partners.
The Hour of Code is much more than just an hour of programming. It is a movement that seeks to democratize access to computer science education and encourage creativity and logical thinking in students of all ages. This year, we are excited to take this initiative to the next level by focusing on Artificial Intelligence (AI), one of the most innovative and promising fields today.
AI is transforming the way we interact with technology and how we solve complex problems. We want to give students the opportunity to explore and understand the fundamental concepts of AI, so they can be an active part of this technological revolution.
Through our network of local partners in the POETA Social Franchise, we will be implementing this AI program in communities across the continent. Our partners play a crucial role in the dissemination and execution of this initiative, bringing computer science education to those who may not have previously had access to these types of opportunities.
The Hour of Code is an important step toward building an inclusive digital future full of opportunities for everyone. By focusing on Artificial Intelligence, we are preparing students to face the challenges and seize the opportunities that this exciting field has to offer. We thank our local partners in the POETA Social Franchise for their commitment and enthusiasm in making this initiative a success.
We look forward to seeing the positive impact this AI education will have on the communities we serve and on the future of technology in our region!
