El evento cont\u00f3 con m\u00e1s de 100 ponencias, incluyendo conferencias magistrales, paneles de expertos y <em>entrevistas <\/em> reuni\u00f3 a emprendedoras, autoras, l\u00edderes de opini\u00f3n, representantes de organizaciones de la sociedad civil y funcionarias p\u00fablicas en un espacio de colaboraci\u00f3n incluyente y de creaci\u00f3n de sinergias. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Entre las ponencias destacan las participaciones de Yalitza Aparicio,\nmaestra, actriz y Embajadora de Buena Voluntad de la UNESCO; Rosario Mar\u00edn, ex\ntesorera de Estados Unidos; la polit\u00f3loga Denise Dresser; Nadine Gasman,\ntitular del Instituto Nacional de las Mujeres y Olga S\u00e1nchez Cordero, primera\nmujer en ocupar el cargo de Secretaria de Gobernaci\u00f3n en M\u00e9xico. Esta \u00faltima\nfue la encargada de inaugurar el evento y expres\u00f3 su compromiso con las mujeres\nmexicanas para que no exista m\u00e1s el techo de cristal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"\\&quot;wp-block-gallery wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\" columns-1 is-cropped\\\"><ul class=\"\\\"blocks-gallery-grid\\\"\"><li class=\"\\\"blocks-gallery-item\\\"\"><figure><img src=\"\\\"https:><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><figcaption class=\"\\\"blocks-gallery-caption\\\"\">Cortes\u00eda de WEF M\u00e9xico<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Durante este evento, The Trust for the Americas estuvo presente en dos\nespacios para compartir los resultados y la valiosa experiencia obtenida a\ntrav\u00e9s del Proyecto VIVE- Ven, Insp\u00edrate y Vende &#8211; en el tema de empoderamiento\na las mujeres. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Durante el primer d\u00eda de actividades, Klaudia Gonz\u00e1lez, Coordinadora Nacional del Proyecto VIVE, form\u00f3 parte del panel titulado <strong><em>Mujeres con Causa<\/em><\/strong>, al lado de Mar\u00eda Elena Morera, Presidente y fundadora de Causa en Com\u00fan A.C. y Mercedes Palomar, Fundadora y directora de Lady Multitask, moderadas por Joanna Cristo, Directora Ejecutiva de Puerto al Desarrollo, A.C. Durante este\npanel se exploraron las diferentes maneras de ejercer el liderazgo, as\u00ed como la\nimportancia de tener pasi\u00f3n en tus proyectos. \u201cUn l\u00edder siempre ve un obst\u00e1culo\ncomo una oportunidad de aprendizaje y crecimiento\u201d expres\u00f3 Ma. El d\u00eda de cierre de actividades se entregaron\nvarios reconocimientos a destacados participantes, incluyendo premio a la\ninnovaci\u00f3n social, al emprendimiento femenino, a esfuerzos en diversidad e\ninclusi\u00f3n, entre otros. <\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Women Economic Forum (WEF) was held for the first time in Mexico from October 15 to 17 at the Banamex Center in Mexico City; its goal was to empower Mexican women as leaders. The event featured more than 100 presentations, including keynote speeches, expert panels, and interviews, and brought together entrepreneurs, authors, thought leaders, representatives of civil society organizations, and public officials in an inclusive space for collaboration and the creation of synergies. Notable speakers included Yalitza Aparicio, teacher, actress, and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador; Rosario Mar\u00edn, former U.S. Treasury Secretary; political scientist Denise Dresser; Nadine Gasman, head of the National Institute for Women; and Olga S\u00e1nchez Cordero, the first woman to hold the position of Secretary of the Interior in Mexico. S\u00e1nchez Cordero opened the event and expressed her commitment to Mexican women to ensure the glass ceiling is no longer a reality. During this event, The Trust for the Americas participated in two sessions to share the results and valuable experience gained through the VIVE Project\u2014Come, Be Inspired, and Sell\u2014on the topic of women\u2019s empowerment. On the first day of activities, Klaudia Gonz\u00e1lez, National Coordinator of the VIVE Project, participated in a panel titled \u201cWomen with a Cause,\u201d alongside Mar\u00eda Elena Morera, President and founder of Causa en Com\u00fan A.C., and Mercedes Palomar, founder and director of Lady Multitask. The discussion was moderated by Joanna Cristo, Executive Director of Puerto al Desarrollo, A.C. The conversation highlighted the importance of including women in development projects\u2014both in the design of programs for them and in their leadership. Klaudia Gonz\u00e1lez, who also participated in an interview for WEF Mexico available here, explained the various programs run by The Trust for the Americas in Mexico and shared the results achieved by Proyecto VIVE, highlighting the importance of recognizing the work done by and for women. Klaudia also acknowledged the tremendous work done by the project\u2019s training team\u2014composed mostly of women\u2014which has trained nearly 50,000 women in three years despite the challenges of reaching communities in highly vulnerable situations. That same day, Mar\u00eda Alejandra Barrios, Communications Officer for Proyecto VIVE; Laura Hern\u00e1ndez, Community Liaison in Mexico City; and Fabiola Mart\u00ednez, a program beneficiary, participated in the panel discussion \u201cLeading with Your Heart.\u201d During this panel, the participants explored different ways of exercising leadership, as well as the importance of having passion for one\u2019s projects. \u201cA leader always sees an obstacle as an opportunity for learning and growth,\u201d said Mar\u00eda Alejandra Barrios during the presentation. Both panels were broadcast live on Facebook via the VIVE Project\u2019s official page and attracted a total audience of more than 100 people. The Women\u2019s Economic Forum is a global initiative that originated in India, led by Harbeen Arora, founder of the All Ladies League &amp; Women\u2019s Economic Forum, and which has established itself in Mexico thanks to the work of Michelle Ferrari, president of the WEF in Mexico.
