El alcalde refrend\u00f3 su compromiso de impulsar la econom\u00eda familiar, al generar oportunidades para que las mujeres se desarrollen y emprendan con proyectos productivos firmes, al tiempo que se propicia una sociedad m\u00e1s inclusiva y equitativa, pues la alianza con The Trust for the Americas, entidad sin fines de lucro afiliada a la Organizaci\u00f3n de los Estados Americanos (OEA), busca disminuir la brecha laboral entre g\u00e9neros y reducir la violencia hacia las mujeres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Al respecto, la gerente del Proyecto VIVE, Mar\u00eda Fernanda Sierra Perea, expres\u00f3 que “en The Trust for the Americas estamos firmemente convencidas de que promoviendo oportunidades para que las mujeres sean independientes, emocional y econ\u00f3micamente, construimos paz. Hoy estamos felices de sumar con el gobierno municipal, a trav\u00e9s de Ambientes de Paz, para capacitar a mujeres toluque\u00f1as. Esta alianza les brindar\u00e1 herramientas para que impulsen su desarrollo personal y laboral, de esta forma beneficiamos a las mujeres, a sus familias y comunidades”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Con la firma de la carta de colaboraci\u00f3n se desarrollar\u00e1 una estrategia digital de capacitaci\u00f3n y oportunidades econ\u00f3micas en el contexto de COVID-19, para ofrecer formaci\u00f3n y contenidos de calidad para toluque\u00f1as.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cabe destacar que la firma de este convenio se realiz\u00f3 de forma remota, para cumplir los protocolos de prevenci\u00f3n de contagios por coronavirus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
El Proyecto VIVE es implementado en M\u00e9xico por The Trust for the Americas desde el 2016 gracias al apoyo de Walmart Foundation. El Proyecto tiene como objetivo ofrecer herramientas que permitan el desarrollo econ\u00f3mico de las mujeres y darles alternativas que mejoren su condici\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica y la de su familia. Entre 2016 y 2019 capacit\u00f3 a m\u00e1s de 53 mil personas a nivel nacional. Del total de personas capacitadas, m\u00e1s de 43 \u202fmil son mujeres (40% de las cuales son jefas de familia). Asimismo, cerca de 7 mil personas fueron vinculadas a oportunidades econ\u00f3micas (86% mujeres, 60% fueron vinculadas a un trabajo de tiempo completo y el 21% se auto-emplearon o iniciaron proyectos de emprendimiento).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is worth noting that the signing of this agreement took place remotely to comply with protocols for preventing the spread of the coronavirus. The VIVE Project has been implemented in Mexico by The Trust for the Americas since 2016, thanks to support from the Walmart Foundation. The project aims to provide tools that enable women\u2019s economic development and offer them alternatives to improve their economic situation and that of their families.
