La reuni\u00f3n se realiz\u00f3 para darle seguimiento a los planes de cooperaci\u00f3n conjunta en temas de innovaci\u00f3n y capacitaci\u00f3n a j\u00f3venes en Colombia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Reafirmando el compromiso con el pa\u00eds, The Trust for the Americas potencia las capacidades econ\u00f3micas y la inclusi\u00f3n social de las poblaciones en situaci\u00f3n de vulnerabilidad y desarrolla proyectos de educaci\u00f3n vocacional y formaci\u00f3n profesional con un enfoque en empoderamiento de mujeres y j\u00f3venes. The Trust implementa sus programas en coordinaci\u00f3n con la Misi\u00f3n de la OEA, agencias gubernamentales, agencias de cooperaci\u00f3n internacional y empresas del sector privado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; En la reuni\u00f3n que mantuvieron las partes en octubre de 2018 en Bogot\u00e1, Mar\u00eda Juliana Ruiz Sandoval enfatiz\u00f3 la importancia de preparar a los ni\u00f1os y j\u00f3venes para que puedan potenciar todas sus habilidades, capacidades y talentos. Por su parte, Linda Eddleman destac\u00f3 que desde 2007, The Trust for the Americas ha trabajado con el gobierno colombiano para empoderar a j\u00f3venes y mujeres a trav\u00e9s del uso, acceso y apropiaci\u00f3n de tecnolog\u00edas, llegando a impactar a m\u00e1s de 500.000 personas a lo largo de 10 a\u00f1os a trav\u00e9s de los centros Tecnol\u00f3gicos comunitarios-POETA. Hoy contamos con una red de 194 centros en 18 pa\u00edses de la regi\u00f3n y 25 de estos est\u00e1n localizados en Colombia.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp; &nbsp; Respecto de la reuni\u00f3n llevada a cabo el 15 de febrero de 2019, Linda Eddleman coment\u00f3: \u201cNuestra misi\u00f3n es promover la inclusi\u00f3n social y econ\u00f3mica en Am\u00e9rica Latina y el Caribe a trav\u00e9s de alianzas multi-sectoriales. El trabajo que estamos realizando en Colombia se alinea con los temas prioritarios de la administraci\u00f3n del Presidente Duque y la Primera Dama Mar\u00eda Juliana Ruiz Sandoval. The Trust implements its programs in coordination with the OAS Mission, government agencies, international cooperation agencies, and private-sector companies. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 At the meeting held by the parties in October 2018 in Bogot\u00e1, Mar\u00eda Juliana Ruiz Sandoval emphasized the importance of preparing children and youth so they can fully develop their skills, abilities, and talents. For her part, Linda Eddleman highlighted that since 2007, The Trust for the Americas has worked with the Colombian government to empower young people and women through the use, access, and adoption of technologies, reaching more than 500,000 people over the course of 10 years through the POETA community technology centers.
