En el caso de Costa Rica, el \u00edndice lo ubica en la posici\u00f3n nueve, y le otorga una puntuaci\u00f3n de 4.04\/10, ya que a pesar de que el gobierno ha tomado medidas para fomentar las innovaciones tecnol\u00f3gicas a trav\u00e9s de incentivos como zonas francas y centros en San Jos\u00e9, el pa\u00eds actualmente carece de pol\u00edticas adaptadas espec\u00edficamente a GovTech, as\u00ed como de una gran presencia de nuevas empresas tecnol\u00f3gicas y startups especializadas en la materia, en comparaci\u00f3n con otras partes del continente. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sin embargo, el estudio tambi\u00e9n reconoce el potencial que tiene Costa Rica no s\u00f3lo en el campo de las adquisiciones, para lograr un sistema m\u00e1s abierto a licitaciones por parte de startups de GovTech, sino tambi\u00e9n en el entorno de la innovaci\u00f3n, en el que cuenta con el mayor puntaje en la regi\u00f3n gracias a las habilidades digitales de su poblaci\u00f3n. Incluso, el hecho de que en el pa\u00eds sea legal hacer pagos a trabajadores con criptomonedas puede ser uno de los futuros impulsores de la innovaci\u00f3n de GovTech, en cuanto a la tecnolog\u00eda blockchain y otros proyectos de criptomonedas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
