Este &nbsp;es el primero de cuatro centros POETA que Fundaci\u00f3n Terra implementar\u00e1 en Honduras durante el a\u00f1o 2023 y posteriormente en la regi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La Franquicia Social POETA busca promover la inclusi\u00f3n social y econ\u00f3mica de poblaciones vulnerables en Latinoam\u00e9rica y el Caribe mediante el acceso, uso y apropiaci\u00f3n de tecnolog\u00edas y estrategias educativas integrales presenciales y virtuales. A trav\u00e9s de capacitaciones en habilidades digitales y para la vida, los Centros POETA ayudar a que las personas tengan un futuro mejor a trav\u00e9s de oportunidades econ\u00f3micas como conseguir empleo, ascender en sus trabajos, impulsar un micro emprendimiento, o continuar sus estudios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mediante la implementaci\u00f3n del Centro POETA en el Instituto de Desarrollo Sostenible, se beneficiar\u00e1n 18 comunidades cercanas, incluyendo El Reparto, La Estanzuela, La Cana\u00e1n, Lomas del Hatillo, Carpintero, San Antonio, Hatillo, Lo de Ponce, Corralitos, Limones, Matasano, Primavera, La Puente, Jutiapa, Pilig\u00fcin, Cantadora, Crucitas del Picacho&nbsp; y Las Matas. El centro POETA tendr\u00e1 un alcance de aproximadamente 35,000 habitantes que podr\u00e1n acceder y hacer uso de la tecnolog\u00eda con el fin de fortalecer sus capacidades, habilidades y destrezas, buscando el crecimiento econ\u00f3mico,&nbsp; la promoci\u00f3n de oportunidades de empleo y emprendimiento en sus comunidades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lara&nbsp;Bersano Calot, Directora de Comunicaci\u00f3n de The Trust for the Americas&nbsp; destac\u00f3 durante el acto de apertura del centro que \u201c<strong>el trabajo de los centros de habilidades digitales que desarrollamos en The Trust for the Americas, comenz\u00f3 en Centroamerica en el a\u00f1o 2004. Desde entonces hemos logrado impactar mas de 4 millones de personas en 27 pa\u00edses y en 2023 estamos muy orgullosos de inaugurar con Fundacion TERRA y Microsoft nuestro centro numero 351. La red de la cual el Centro POETA en el Instituto de Desarrollo Sostenible es parte, es una red de 351 entidades que buscan mejorar la vida de cientos de personas en cada una de sus comunidades. A trav\u00e9s de esa red ustedes tendr\u00e1n acceso a tecnolog\u00edas y contenidos actualizados, licencias de Microsfot, contenidos para desarrollarse como personas y emprendedores, y m\u00e1s que nada, acceso a un grupo humano de profesionales que estamos d\u00eda a d\u00eda pensando soluciones y metodolog\u00edas para apoyar a cada una de las personas de nuestra regi\u00f3n para empoderarlas y mejorar su capacidad de desarrollo<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El Centro POETA estar\u00e1 disponible en horarios diurnos de lunes a s\u00e1bado para los ni\u00f1os, j\u00f3venes y adultos de las diferentes comunidades aleda\u00f1as al Instituto de Desarrollo Sostenible y mediante el cual podr\u00e1n tener acceso a plataformas de formaci\u00f3n y capacitaci\u00f3n. This  is the first of four POETA centers that the Terra Foundation will establish in Honduras during 2023 and subsequently throughout the region. The POETA Social Franchise seeks to promote the social and economic inclusion of vulnerable populations in Latin America and the Caribbean through access to, use of, and adoption of technologies and comprehensive in-person and virtual educational strategies. Through training in digital and life skills, the POETA Centers help people build a better future through economic opportunities such as finding employment, advancing in their careers, launching a micro-business, or continuing their education. The establishment of the POETA Center at the Institute for Sustainable Development will benefit 18 nearby communities, including El Reparto, La Estanzuela, La Cana\u00e1n, Lomas del Hatillo, Carpintero, San Antonio, Hatillo, Lo de Ponce, Corralitos, Limones, Matasano, Primavera, La Puente, Jutiapa, Pilig\u00fcin, Cantadora, Crucitas del Picacho, and Las Matas. The POETA Center will serve approximately 35,000 residents, who will be able to access and use technology to strengthen their capabilities, skills, and competencies, with the goal of fostering economic growth and promoting employment and entrepreneurship opportunities in their communities. Lara Bersano Calot, Director of Communications for The Trust for the Americas, noted during the center\u2019s opening ceremony that \u201cthe work of the digital skills centers we\u2019ve developed at The Trust for the Americas began in Central America in 2004. Since then, we have reached more than 4 million people in 27 countries, and in 2023 we are very proud to inaugurate our 351st center together with the TERRA Foundation and Microsoft. The network of which the POETA Center at the Institute for Sustainable Development is a part consists of 351 organizations dedicated to improving the lives of hundreds of people in each of their communities. Through this network, you\u2019ll have access to up-to-date technologies and content, Microsoft licenses, resources for personal and entrepreneurial development, and, above all, access to a team of professionals who work every day to devise solutions and methodologies to support each person in our region, empowering them and enhancing their capacity for development.\u201d The POETA Center will be open during daytime hours from Monday through Saturday for children, youth, and adults from the various communities surrounding the Institute for Sustainable Development, providing them with access to education and training platforms.
