Mediante esta sinergia regional, concreta proyectos que generan un impacto positivo en la vida de las personas en las Am\u00e9ricas y el&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.trustfortheamericas.org\/programs\/dia\/dia-dominican-republic-innovation-lab\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">DIA Dominican Republic Innovation Lab<\/a>&nbsp;es un claro ejemplo de esto.&nbsp;En colaboraci\u00f3n con nuestro socio local,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/adasecdominicana.org\/\">ADASEC RD<\/a>, y con el respaldo financiero de la&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.citigroup.com\/global\/foundation\">Citi Foundation<\/a>, el DIA Lab RD busca estimular la innovaci\u00f3n y la creaci\u00f3n de soluciones disruptivas entre la juventud dominicana.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Desde su inicio en 2022, este proyecto ha impactado positivamente la vida de m\u00e1s de 500 j\u00f3venes en las localidades de Ban\u00ed, Bonao y La Vega a trav\u00e9s del acceso a tecnolog\u00eda y espacios colaborativos, entrenamiento y fondos semillas concursables. Dicho capital semilla, se obtiene a trav\u00e9s de la Competencia Pitch de Proyectos Innovadores, siendo la \u00faltima celebrada el 26 de enero de 2023.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un jurado multidisciplinario examin\u00f3 13 proyectos, evaluando criterios fundamentales como el modelo de negocio, el impacto social y medioambiental, la viabilidad econ\u00f3mica y el grado de innovaci\u00f3n. Los proyectos m\u00e1s destacados fueron reconocidos con USD 1,000 en fondos semilla destinados a fortalecer sus estructuras y potenciar sus impactos. De los proyectos presentados, se seleccionaron nueve ganadores notables:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>&#8220;Historias para cambiar vidas&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0de Heydi Ovalles y Ghessy Carri\u00f3n: ofrece oportunidades para ni\u00f1os con dificultades cognitivas, fomentando la investigaci\u00f3n y reduciendo desigualdades de lectura.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>&#8220;Salvezza&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0de Maddox J\u00e1quez Gonz\u00e1lez: propone alternativas de postres para personas con problemas alimenticios y una opci\u00f3n m\u00e1s saludable.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>&#8220;Eco Sweater&#8221;\u00a0<\/strong>de Alan Melo: desarrolla una plataforma con IA para simular outfits, donaciones y personalizaci\u00f3n de prendas, buscando reducir el fast fashion.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>&#8220;Poweford&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0de Nelson Jos\u00e9 Saintime: busca reducir del desempleo, guiando a j\u00f3venes de bajos recursos hacia el emprendedurismo. \u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>&#8220;Papeler\u00eda Draco&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0de Daisha Henr\u00edquez, Rosanna Tavarez y Rosaira Jim\u00e9nez Yenyete: plantea un emprendimiento comunitario que brinda acceso a materiales de papeler\u00eda para estudiantes de escasos recursos.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>&#8220;Ecoyitas&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0de Rub\u00ed Estephany Hern\u00e1ndez S\u00e1nchez: busca reducir residuos de pl\u00e1sticos y vidrios, convirti\u00e9ndolos en bisuter\u00eda artesanal.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>&#8220;3R VIDEO GAME&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0de Ana Franchesca Bouajenek, Gael Estrella y Diana Bello Lantigua: desarrolla una p\u00e1gina web gamificada para educar a estudiantes sobre medio ambiente y reciclaje.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>&#8220;Instasalud&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0de Keisy Cecilia Polanco Bisono, Raymond Anthony Cortorreal Caminero, Ismael Armando Polanco Garc\u00eda y Alejandro Aquiles Beltre Pimentel: busca optimizar el acceso a servicios de salud mediante una aplicaci\u00f3n nativa.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>&#8220;Onbus&#8221;\u00a0<\/strong>de Genesis Moreno, Francisco Aquino y Eurys Brito Gonz\u00e1lez: mejora de la experiencia de usuarios en transportes p\u00fablicos, especialmente metro y telef\u00e9rico.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Allen Feliz, Coordinador del Proyecto DIA Lab RD en ADASEC, destac\u00f3:&nbsp;<em>&#8220;En DIA Lab RD, no solo brindamos formaci\u00f3n excepcional, sino que tambi\u00e9n proporcionamos capital semilla a la juventud, gui\u00e1ndolos hacia un futuro exitoso&#8221;.<\/em>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Estos proyectos son representativos del compromiso del&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetrustfortheamericas.org\/programs\/dia\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Programa Democratizando la Innovaci\u00f3n de las Am\u00e9ricas (DIA)<\/a>, de The Trust for the Americas, en impulsar iniciativas innovadoras y sostenibles, brindando a la juventud dominicana las herramientas necesarias para desarrollar ideas de negocios o impulsar proyectos sociales que impacten positivamente sus vidas y sus comunidades. The Trust for the Americas seeks to foster a collaborative ecosystem that encompasses the various sectors of society. Through this regional synergy, it carries out projects that have a positive impact on the lives of people in the Americas, and the DIA Innovation Lab in the Dominican Republic is a clear example of this.\u00a0In collaboration with our local partner, ADASEC RD, and with financial support from the Citi Foundation, the DIA Lab RD seeks to stimulate innovation and the creation of disruptive solutions among Dominican youth.\u00a0 Since its inception in 2022, this project has positively impacted the lives of more than 500 young people in the towns of Ban\u00ed, Bonao, and La Vega by providing access to technology and collaborative spaces, training, and competitive seed funding. This seed capital is awarded through the Innovative Projects Pitch Competition, the most recent of which was held on January 26, 2023.\u00a0 A multidisciplinary jury reviewed 13 projects, evaluating key criteria such as the business model, social and environmental impact, economic viability, and degree of innovation. The most outstanding projects were awarded USD 1,000 in seed funding to strengthen their structures and amplify their impact. Nine outstanding winners were selected from among the projects submitted: Allen Feliz, Coordinator of the DIA Lab RD Project at ADASEC, noted: \u201cAt DIA Lab RD, we not only provide exceptional training but also offer seed capital to young people, guiding them toward a successful future.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 These projects exemplify the commitment of the Democratizing Innovation in the Americas (DIA) Program, part of The Trust for the Americas, to promote innovative and sustainable initiatives, giving Dominican youth the tools they need to develop business ideas or launch social projects that positively impact their lives and their communities.
