Los d\u00edas 27 y 28 de septiembre de 2023, tuvo lugar el&nbsp;<strong>DIA Summit 2023<\/strong>, organizado por&nbsp;<strong>The Trust for the Americas<\/strong>&nbsp;en colaboraci\u00f3n con&nbsp;<strong>ADASEC Rep\u00fablica Dominicana<\/strong>&nbsp;y con el respaldo financiero de la&nbsp;<strong>Fundaci\u00f3n Citi<\/strong>. El objetivo de este evento fue crear un espacio de colaboraci\u00f3n e innovaci\u00f3n centrado en tres \u00e1reas cruciales: cambio clim\u00e1tico y sostenibilidad, emprendimiento, y tecnolog\u00eda e innovaci\u00f3n.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A lo largo de estos dos d\u00edas, m\u00e1s de&nbsp;<strong>22 destacados ponentes<\/strong>&nbsp;de diversos pa\u00edses se presentaron ante una audiencia compuesta por m\u00e1s de 150 personas. El DIA Summit 2023 ofreci\u00f3 una diversidad de formatos, que incluyeron desde conferencias magistrales hasta paneles de discusi\u00f3n, todos ellos abordando temas de vital importancia para las Am\u00e9ricas.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En sus palabras inaugurales, Alexander Figueroa, COO de The Trust for the Americas, subray\u00f3 la importancia del desarrollo tecnol\u00f3gico en el Caribe, al afirmar:&nbsp;<em>&#8220;La innovaci\u00f3n es esencial para alcanzar el desarrollo sostenible, la prosperidad econ\u00f3mica y la resiliencia ante m\u00faltiples desaf\u00edos. Nos encontramos en un momento crucial en el que el progreso continuo de la regi\u00f3n se ve enriquecido significativamente por la adopci\u00f3n de nuevas tecnolog\u00edas. La innovaci\u00f3n tiene el potencial de forjar un futuro m\u00e1s prometedor para las personas del Caribe y, al mismo tiempo, posicionar a la regi\u00f3n como un jugador competitivo en la escena global&#8221;.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A continuaci\u00f3n, destacamos algunas conclusiones y reflexiones por \u00e1reas tem\u00e1ticas que resaltan la necesidad de colaboraci\u00f3n multidisciplinaria y el empoderamiento de la juventud y las mujeres en la b\u00fasqueda de soluciones a los desaf\u00edos regionales:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Cambio clim\u00e1tico y sostenibilidad:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Los j\u00f3venes y las mujeres desempe\u00f1an un papel crucial en la lucha contra el cambio clim\u00e1tico y deben ser agentes de cambio sostenible.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>La justicia clim\u00e1tica es esencial, y las pol\u00edticas globales deben respaldarse con implementaciones locales efectivas.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Si bien los activistas desempe\u00f1an un papel fundamental, es esencial reconocer que en muchos pa\u00edses de LAC, el activismo a veces se percibe como un privilegio, ya que no todos tienen la estabilidad econ\u00f3mica para dedicarse plenamente a esta causa.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>El turismo debe considerarse como una carrera con potencial de crecimiento sostenido, y los turistas deben contribuir positivamente a las comunidades que visitan.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tecnolog\u00eda e Innovaci\u00f3n:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>La inteligencia artificial tiene un gran potencial econ\u00f3mico, pero los sesgos algor\u00edtmicos deben abordarse desde el principio con un criterio responsable.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Las brechas digitales existentes se ampl\u00edan debido a la falta de conocimiento sobre oportunidades disponibles, la co-creaci\u00f3n es esencial en la tecnolog\u00eda.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>La capacidad t\u00e9cnica de los pa\u00edses para adoptar infraestructura digital depende de la financiaci\u00f3n y la voluntad pol\u00edtica.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>La ciberseguridad es un escudo que todos debemos levantar en la era digital, ya que un ataque en l\u00ednea a cualquier organizaci\u00f3n nos pone a todos en peligro.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Emprendimiento:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Las brechas en la educaci\u00f3n deben abordarse de manera integral, y la innovaci\u00f3n debe ser una herramienta para superar obst\u00e1culos.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>La creatividad surge al enfrentar desaf\u00edos, y est\u00e1 ligada a nuestras historias personales y nuestro entorno.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Los productos digitales deben ser accesibles para todos, y es esencial equilibrar las necesidades del usuario y los objetivos del negocio.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En su discurso de clausura, Gabriella Hache, Public Affairs Caribbean Cluster Head de la Fundaci\u00f3n Citi, expres\u00f3: &#8220;Este es un d\u00eda muy especial para todos nosotros, pues cerramos una edici\u00f3n m\u00e1s de este encuentro anual.
