With support from Microsoft Philanthropies and The Trust for the Americas, these individuals received training in technology and entrepreneurship to enhance their skills and gain access to better employment opportunities.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additionally, the \u201cBusiness Exhibition\u201d was held, where 4 female entrepreneurs and representatives of the \u201cPuntos Verdes\u201d Organization showcased their products and services, as well as explained how their knowledge will help them increase their sales to improve their quality of life.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"\\\"wp-block-image\" aligncenter size-large is-resized\\\"><img src=\"\\\"https:><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of the celebration, Luz Marina Correa, Coordinator of POETA DigiSpark, commented that \u201cfor The Trust for the Americas, it is an honor to know that this project is possible thanks to the people who participate in the training and make the most of the activities and resources.\u201d She also emphasized that the most rewarding part is reconnecting, after several years, with people who have completed the training and seeing how it has made a difference in their lives\u2014whether by helping them find a job, start or continue their studies, or launch a business; which, Luz Marina says, motivates us to continue our work.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The session was held at the Laudes Infantis center in the Arrayanes neighborhood, located in the locality of Usme in the south of the city; an area characterized by a high concentration of vulnerable populations. During this visit, attendees had the opportunity to learn about the Center and present their various proposals.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Catalina Rengifo, Project Manager for the Americas at Microsoft, highlighted the skills and efforts each person made to obtain their certification: \u201cI mainly want to congratulate each of the people graduating today; those who gave that extra effort, those who worked hard, those who saw the opportunity in the knowledge they were acquiring, those who found the importance of working and strengthening digital skills\u2026 I congratulate all of you, you are the inspiration of many people, each of you inspires me.\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the visit, the \u201cPuntos Verdes\u201d Organization, which specializes in supporting entrepreneurs in their initiatives related to environmental sustainability, presented the electronic device recycling program, which will benefit various social and environmental causes, the community in the Arrayanes and Bella Flor neighborhoods, and also, of course, Laudes Infantis, who hope to become a Green Point and a collection center for these electronic wastes, in order to contribute to their proper recycling.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the event, the success story of Martha Blanco, founder of Olympia magazine, which covers topics of interest to women, was presented. Martha explained how she managed to consolidate the sale of her magazine locally and how she has managed to generate income thanks to advertising placements.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yessica Pinz\u00f3n, who was Martha's mentor during this process, explained how they focused on building skills in marketing, accounting, template creation, content production, and advertising guidelines, which were essential for running a successful business model.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the end of the event, Beatriz Rojas, a young beneficiary of POETA DigiSpark who uses the program's training courses to plan the creation of her own business\u2014a stationery store (miscellany)\u2014explained how Laudes Infantis gave her the opportunity to acquire more knowledge about the \u201ddigital world and entrepreneurship, to grow our business,\u201d as well as the Excel, Word, and PowerPoint courses, which she will put into practice in her business.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, Almudena Rivas highlighted the importance of skills generation as a tool to escape poverty, and expressed her joy at resuming in-person events and certifications. She thanked everyone for the opportunity to meet and celebrate with those who have committed not only to the organization, but also to the DigiSpark project. Durante esta visita, los asistentes tuvieron la oportunidad de conocer el Centro y presentar sus distintas propuestas.&nbsp;&nbsp; Catalina Rengifo, Gerente de proyectos para las Am\u00e9ricas en Microsoft, destac\u00f3 las habilidades y esfuerzos que cada persona hizo para obtener su certificaci\u00f3n \u201cprincipalmente quiero felicitar a cada una de las personas que hoy se grad\u00faan; los que dieron ese extra, los que trabajaron fuerte, los que vieron la oportunidad em ese conocimiento que estaban adquiriendo, los que encontraron la importancia de trabajar y fortalecer habilidades digitales&#8230; a todos ustedes los felicito, son la inspiraci\u00f3n de muchas personas, a m\u00ed me inspira cada uno de ustedes\u201d.&nbsp; Durante la visita, la Organizaci\u00f3n \u201cPuntos Verdes\u201d, especializada en apoyar a emprendedores en sus iniciativas relacionadas con sostenibilidad ambiental, presentaron el programa de reciclaje de dispositivos electr\u00f3nicos, lo que beneficiar\u00e1 a distintas causas sociales y ambientales, a la comunidad que se encuentra en los barrios Arrayanes y Bella Flor y tambi\u00e9n, por supuesto a Laudes Infantis, quienes esperan poder ser un Punto Verde y un centro de recolecci\u00f3n de estos residuos electr\u00f3nicos, para contribuir con el correcto reciclaje de los mismos.&nbsp;&nbsp; En el evento, se present\u00f3 el caso exitoso de Martha Blanco, fundadora de la revista Olympia, donde se tratan temas de inter\u00e9s para las mujeres.&nbsp; Martha explic\u00f3 como logr\u00f3 consolidar la venta de su revista en la localidad y c\u00f3mo ha logrado generar ingreso gracias a las pautas publicitarias.&nbsp;&nbsp; Yessica Pinz\u00f3n, quien fue la mentora de Martha durante este proceso, explic\u00f3 c\u00f3mo se centraron en generar habilidades en marketing, contabilidad, creaci\u00f3n de plantillas, producci\u00f3n de contenidos y pautas publicitarias, las cuales fueron fundamentales para llevar un modelo de negocio exitoso.&nbsp;&nbsp; Al finalizar el evento, Beatriz Rojas, una joven beneficiaria de POETA DigiSpark, quien utiliza los cursos formativos del programa para planear la creaci\u00f3n de su propio emprendimiento: una papeler\u00eda (miscel\u00e1nea)explic\u00f3 c\u00f3mo Laudes Infantis le brind\u00f3 la posibilidad de adquirir m\u00e1s conocimientos acerca del \\&#8221;mundo digital y el emprendimiento, para hacer crecer nuestro negocio\u201d, y los cursos de Excel, Word y PowerPoint, que pondr\u00e1 en pr\u00e1ctica en su negocio.&nbsp; Por \u00faltimo, Almudena Rivas, resalt\u00f3 la importancia de la generaci\u00f3n de habilidades como herramienta para salir de la pobreza, su alegr\u00eda de retomar los eventos y certificaciones presenciales.
