The enthusiasm generated by a visit to a POETA Center makes those involved live a unique experience. This visit took place in an atmosphere of complete cordiality; ideas, information, plans, projections, and data were triangulated, and questions were exchanged over coffee and cookies.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On this occasion, Regional Coordinator Maite Capra and Communication and Digital Transformation Specialist Carlos Escalante visited the POETA Center \u201cHogar Siembra,\u201d where the hosts were Milenia Romero, Executive Director, and some female beneficiaries of the Foundation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During this tour, we were accompanied by Juan Diego Rom\u00e1n, Senior Coffee Project Manager at Nespresso, who expressed his interest in replicating POETA Centers, focused on women and children in the coffee sector, who need to develop technological capabilities and life skills.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most importantly, for Juan Diego and Nespresso, it was understanding how our methodology could help coffee producers enter the labor market or improve their businesses.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During that visit, information was blended that reflected our experience, our journey, and our scope, and the pillars that give meaning and pedagogical and technical support to our POETA Centers were presented. Among them, the support and monitoring system that makes possible the active permanence of the POETA Centers and the credibility of local partners stood out. The learning-by-doing model, supported by the Toolbox and the two platforms (Virtual Classroom and Community Training), accompanied by the heterogeneous vision of each Local Partner while maintaining the quality standardization characteristic of a Social Franchise.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, we highlight the value of ongoing training that allows for updating, closeness, encouragement, and the generation of relevant and situated knowledge.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Juan Diego was the best apprentice at the POETA Center... Of course, he had the best Facilitator:  <\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Mr. Rom\u00e1n entered the POETA Center, a group of lively girls were using the computers with great ease. We greeted each other and formed a circle to establish closeness so that no one would be left in the background. Once the introductions were over, a natural exchange was established based on the curiosity to know more about the small metal capsules we showed them. This initiative allowed us to transition into the importance of programming and how it is required in all fields. Maite takes on the role of Facilitator and asks Joselyn, a POETA participant, to invite Juan Diego to program with The Hour of Code<\/em> There is Susan, a POETA participant, who invited Carlos. That was very exciting. Nothing is as vital and strong as living the experience, that is, moving from discourse to practice. This is the way to demonstrate the capabilities developed by the POETA participants.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El entusiasmo que genera una visita a un Centro POETA, hace que los involucrados vivan una experiencia \u00fanica. Esta visita se dio en un ambiente de total cordialidad, se triangularon ideas, informaci\u00f3n, planes, proyecciones, datos, se intercambiaron preguntas en medio de un caf\u00e9 y galletas.\u00a0\u00a0 En esta ocasi\u00f3n, Maite Capra, Coordinadora Regional, Carlos Escalante, Especialista en Comunicaci\u00f3n y Transformaci\u00f3n Digital, visitaron el Centro POETA \u201cHogar Siembra\u201d donde las anfitrionas fueron Milenia Romero, Directora Ejecutiva, y algunas beneficiarias de la Fundaci\u00f3n.  Durante este recorrido, nos acompa\u00f1\u00f3 Juan Diego Rom\u00e1n, Senior Coffee Project Manager en Nespresso, quien expres\u00f3, su inter\u00e9s de replicar Centros POETA, enfocados en mujeres y ni\u00f1os cafetaleros, que necesitan desarrollar capacidades tecnol\u00f3gicas y habilidades para la vida.   Lo m\u00e1s importante, para Juan Diego y Nespresso, fue entender la manera en que nuestra metodolog\u00eda podr\u00eda apoyar a que los productores de caf\u00e9 logren insertarse en el mercado laboral o bien, mejorar sus negocios.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 En esa visita se mezcl\u00f3 informaci\u00f3n que reflej\u00f3 nuestra experiencia, nuestro recorrido y alcances, y se exponen los pilares que le dan sentido y sustento pedag\u00f3gico y t\u00e9cnico a nuestros Centros POETA. Entre ellos destac\u00f3 el sistema de apoyo y seguimiento que hace posible la permanencia activa de los Centros POETA y la credibilidad de los socios locales. El modelo de aprendizaje basado en Learning by doing apoyado en la Caja de Herramientas y las dos plataformas (Aula Virtual y Community Training), acompa\u00f1ado de la visi\u00f3n heterog\u00e9nea seg\u00fan cada Socio Local, pero manteniendo la estandarizaci\u00f3n de la calidad propia de una Franquicia Social.   Finalmente destacamos el valor de la capacitaci\u00f3n permanente que permite la actualizaci\u00f3n, cercan\u00eda, animaci\u00f3n y generaci\u00f3n de conocimiento pertinente y situado.\u00a0 Juan Diego fue el mejor aprendiz en el Centro POETA\u2026 Claro tuvo a la mejor Facilitadora:    Cuando el Sr. Rom\u00e1n entr\u00f3 al Centro POETA, un grupo de chicas vivaces usaban las computadoras con gran soltura.\u00a0 Saludamos y formamos un c\u00edrculo para establecer cercan\u00eda y que nadie quedara en segundo plano.\u00a0 Una vez que terminaron las presentaciones, se instaur\u00f3 un intercambio natural basado en la curiosidad de saber m\u00e1s sobre las peque\u00f1as c\u00e1psulas met\u00e1licas que les mostramos. Esta iniciativa permiti\u00f3 que nos desliz\u00e1ramos hacia la importancia de la programaci\u00f3n y como \u00e9sta es requerida en todos los \u00e1mbitos.
