{"id":1974,"date":"2021-12-17T10:36:27","date_gmt":"2021-12-17T15:36:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/40.117.174.162\/socios-locales-de-la-fsp-unieron-esfuerzos-para-programar-en-la-hora-del-codigo\/"},"modified":"2025-06-03T23:54:16","modified_gmt":"2025-06-03T23:54:16","slug":"socios-locales-de-la-fsp-unieron-esfuerzos-para-programar-en-la-hora-del-codigo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trust-oea.org\/en\/socios-locales-de-la-fsp-unieron-esfuerzos-para-programar-en-la-hora-del-codigo\/","title":{"rendered":"Local Partners of FSP joined forces to code during \u201cThe Hour of Code\u201d\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Throughout November and December, The Trust for the Americas and the local partners of the POETA Social Franchise joined forces with Code.org to promote \u201cHour of Code\u201d in Latin America.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lara Sep\u00falveda, Partnerships Manager at Code.org, delivered the training \u201cCoding with Minecraft and Flappy Code\u201d in Spanish and Portugal, to prepare representatives of FSP's partner organizations so they could replicate this training among their beneficiaries.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This 2021, the Hour of Code had a different dynamic. We started on November 17 with a training session led by Maite Capra, POETA Regional Coordinator, who, thanks to her experience, passed on her knowledge to facilitators from the various organizations that make up the FSP network. With this, local partners were empowered to replicate such an interesting session.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following a strong commitment from local partners and Trust coordinators, on November 19, the local partners in Brazil held their first meeting\u2014an introductory session\u2014organized by Fatima Galeazzo, National Coordinator \u2013 Brazil. More than 180 people attended, representing the following organizations: ITI \u2013 Instituto Tecnol\u00f3gico Inova\u00e7\u00e3o, Unilehu, OSJC \u2013 Obras Sociais Jer\u00f4nimo Candinho, IDEAR, and Casa dos Sete. This session was interesting because it allowed the partners to get to know each other and exchange experiences, in addition to agreeing that, due to electoral issues in the country, they will work together to celebrate the Hour of Code during the month of January.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From Costa Rica, Hogar Siembra, a local partner of FSP, 40 young women learned to code in the \u201cHour of Code.\u201d Venezuela was another local partner that added 15 young people; in both locations, participation was in-person, adding programming to their experience with technology.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"\\\"wp-block-image\" size-large\\\"><img src=\"\\\"https:><figcaption>Hogar Siembra, Costa Rica<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Local partners in El Salvador managed to bring together more than 80 people both virtually and in-person, while the local partners who closed this wonderful campaign were from Mexico and Costa Rica, in a virtual session with the participation of 18 members from allied institutions, who received training from Lourdes Serrano, Coordinator of Mexico, and Maite Capra, Regional Coordinator.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Without a doubt, the Hour of Code was a great experience to \u201cprove that anybody can learn the basics and broaden participation in the field of computer science.\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Code.org, \u201cThe Hour of Code takes place each year during Computer Science Education Week.\u201d<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Durante el mes de noviembre y diciembre, The Trust for the Americas y los Socios Locales de la Franquicia Social POETA nos sumamos Code.org para promover \u201cla Hora del C\u00f3digo\u201d en Am\u00e9rica Latina.&nbsp; Lara Sep\u00falveda,&nbsp;Gerente de&nbsp;Alianzas&nbsp;en&nbsp;Code.org, imparti\u00f3 la capacitaci\u00f3n \u201cProgramar con Minecraft y C\u00f3digo Flappy\u201d&nbsp;espa\u00f1ol y portugu\u00e9s, para preparar a representantes de las organizaciones socias de la FSP y que pudieran replicar esta capacitaci\u00f3n entre sus beneficiarios.&nbsp; Este 2021, La Hora del C\u00f3digo tuvo una din\u00e1mica&nbsp;diferente. Iniciamos el 17 de noviembre, con una capacitaci\u00f3n impartida por Maite Capra, Coordinadora Regional POETA, gracias a su experiencia, replic\u00f3 sus conocimientos con personas facilitadoras de las diferentes organizaciones que conforman la red de la FSP. Con esto, los socios locales se fortalecieron para replicar tan interesante sesi\u00f3n.&nbsp; Luego de un gran compromiso por parte de los socios locales y coordinadoras Trust, fue\u00a0el 19 de noviembre\u00a0que los socios locales de Brasil, tuvieron el primer encuentro, en una sesi\u00f3n de saludo, organizada por Fatima Galeazzo, Coordinadora Nacional \u2013 Brasil, se reunieron m\u00e1s de 180 personas representantes de las organizaciones: ITI \u2013 Instituto Tecnol\u00f3gico Inova\u00e7\u00e3o, Unilehu, OSJC \u2013 Obras Sociais Jer\u00f4nimo Candinho,\u00a0IDEAR\u00a0y Casa dos Sete. Esta sesi\u00f3n estuvo llena de diversidad, pues adem\u00e1s participaron todas las personas del equipo POETA.\u00a0 Luego de\u00a0esta interesante sesi\u00f3n,\u00a0las instituciones aliadas replicaron la capacitaci\u00f3n de la Hora del C\u00f3digo entre la poblaci\u00f3n beneficiaria, llegando a m\u00e1s de\u00a0417\u00a0personas\u00a0de todas las edades, desde ni\u00f1os y ni\u00f1as, hasta adultas mayores.\u00a0 Los Socios Locales de Colombia y Ecuador, fueron los segundos en reunirse para celebrar la Hora del C\u00f3digo, una interesante sesi\u00f3n llena de diversidad. Esta sesi\u00f3n fue interesante, porque permiti\u00f3 que los socios se conocieran e intercambiaran experiencias, adem\u00e1s de coincidir que, debido a temas electorales en el Pa\u00eds,&nbsp;trabajar\u00e1n en conjunto para celebrar la Hora del C\u00f3digo durante el mes de enero.&nbsp; Desde Costa Rica, Hogar Siembra, socio local de la FSP,&nbsp;40 mujeres j\u00f3venes&nbsp;aprendieron a codificar&nbsp;en la \u201cHora del C\u00f3digo\u201d.&nbsp;Venezuela fue otro socio local que sum\u00f3 a 15 personas j\u00f3venes, en ambas sedes, la participaci\u00f3n fue presencial, sumando la programaci\u00f3n a su experiencia sobre tecnolog\u00eda.&nbsp; Los Socios locales de El Salvador, lograron reunir a m\u00e1s de 80 personas de forma virtual y presencial, mientras que los socios locales que cerraron esta maravillosa campa\u00f1a fueron de M\u00e9xico y Costa Rica,&nbsp;en una sesi\u00f3n virtual,&nbsp;con la participaci\u00f3n de 18 miembros de las instituciones aliadas, que recibieron capacitaci\u00f3n por parte de Lourdes Serrano, Coordinadora de M\u00e9xico, y Maite Capra, Coordinadora Regional.&nbsp; Sin duda, la Hora del C\u00f3digo fue una gran experiencia para \u201cdemostrar que todos pueden aprender los conceptos b\u00e1sicos y ampliar la participaci\u00f3n en el campo de las ciencias de la computaci\u00f3n\u201d.&nbsp;
