Bazar de Emprendedoras<\/a> que se llev\u00f3 a cabo el pasado 5 de marzo en la Plaza de la Constituci\u00f3n de la ciudad de Toluca. Ah\u00ed, todas las egresadas de tuvieron la oportunidad de presentar sus emprendimientos y vender sus productos a la poblaci\u00f3n en general. Durante el evento, se cont\u00f3 con la presencia de la Mtra. Norma Alicia Soto Aceves, Coordinadora de programa Municipal De Ambientes de Paz; la Dra. Mar\u00eda de Lourdes Medina Ortega, Directora General del Instituto Municipal de la Mujer; el Dr. Fernando Galindo Cruz, Director de Prevenci\u00f3n Comunitaria, la Lic. M\u00f3nica Luc\u00eda Arellano Aguilar, Jefa de Departamento de Polic\u00eda Comunitaria, y Klaudia Gonz\u00e1lez, Coordinadora nacional de Proyecto VIVE. En su mensaje a las egresadas, Klaudia enfatiz\u00f3 que la independencia econ\u00f3mica de las mujeres es un factor clave para reducir la vulnerabilidad y prevenir la violencia de g\u00e9nero.<\/p>\n\n\n\nEl Proyecto VIVE es implementado en M\u00e9xico por The Trust for the Americas desde el 2016 gracias al apoyo de Walmart Foundation. El Proyecto tiene como objetivo ofrecer herramientas que permitan el desarrollo econ\u00f3mico de las mujeres y darles alternativas que mejoren su condici\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica y la de su familia. Entre 2016 y 2019 capacit\u00f3 a m\u00e1s de 60 mil personas a nivel nacional. Del total de personas capacitadas, m\u00e1s de 55 \u202fmil son mujeres (40% de las cuales son jefas de familia). Trust for the Americas and the Municipality of Toluca, through its \u201cEnvironments of Peace and Development\u201d program, extended their collaboration agreement through October of this year with the goal of promoting women\u2019s economic empowerment and, thereby, preventing violence against women and girls. Juan Rodolfo S\u00e1nchez G\u00f3mez, Mayor of the capital of the State of Mexico, and Ma. Fernanda Sierra Perea, VIVE Project Manager, signed the agreement this week, confirming Trust for the Americas\u2019 commitment to train more women in Toluca.\u00a0 The courses are based on an innovative model that incorporates the use of digital tools, social media, and mentoring sessions designed to help participants develop the skills needed to access employment, transition their businesses to digital platforms, and identify and prevent violence against women. The collaboration between Proyecto VIVE and Ambientes de Paz y Desarrollo began in early 2020 with in-person training for more than 50 women who developed skills for employability and entrepreneurship. This training culminated in a major Diploma Ceremony and Women Entrepreneurs\u2019 Bazaar held on March 5 at the Plaza de la Constituci\u00f3n in the city of Toluca. There, all the graduates had the opportunity to present their businesses and sell their products to the general public. The event was attended by Norma Alicia Soto Aceves, M.A., Coordinator of the Municipal \u201cAmbientes de Paz\u201d Program; Dr. Mar\u00eda de Lourdes Medina Ortega, Director General of the Municipal Institute for Women; Dr. Fernando Galindo Cruz, Director of Community Prevention; M\u00f3nica Luc\u00eda Arellano Aguilar, Head of the Community Police Department; and Klaudia Gonz\u00e1lez, National Coordinator of the VIVE Project. In her message to the graduates, Klaudia emphasized that women\u2019s economic independence is a key factor in reducing vulnerability and preventing gender-based violence. The VIVE Project has been implemented in Mexico by The Trust for the Americas since 2016, thanks to support from the Walmart Foundation. The project aims to provide tools that enable women\u2019s economic development and offer them alternatives to improve their economic situation and that of their families. Between 2016 and 2019, it trained more than 60,000 people nationwide. Of the total number of people trained, more than 55,000 are women (40% of whom are female heads of household).
